The FTC Meteor 2 is a throw weight with a very innovative design. It uses a metal piece covered with polymer to provide a much longer lifespan than fabric bags. You will wear out before it does! They are made up of a metallic core and a polymer shell with 2 densities. The drop shape gives them a great precision and dynamism, with a very high strength for a powerful throw and a much longer lifespan than with fabric bags.
The FTC Meteor 2 contains no lead which means no more lead balls spread in nature by a damaged throwbag. The compact, streamline shape helps manipulating the bag in the tree. It is easily spotted as well, with the high visibility colours and “checkered effect”. The profile of the ring and its oblong section help fixing the line and prevents it from slipping.

The FTC Meteor 2 is equipped with a ring, with the insertion slightly lower than the tip - which lowers the rotation axis. When the throwline is pulled, the bag actually tips over around the axis and is easily pulled out of crotches. All the field tests showed a great ease to manage through tight crotch.
They are very dynamic and accurate, which means that they shoot very fast and depending on the rebounds they can come back fast as well. As with all throwbags, it is recommended to use PPE (helmet, glasses and gloves). It is also essential not to try to catch a throwbag after it has been thrown.
The FTC Meteor 2 is faster and more efficient than the traditional fabric bags. To compensate, it is possible to use the weight under the one usually used in textile.
The bags have an aerodynamic shape and do not vibrate in flight, which means that even on a windy day they will not deviate from their initial course. The aerodynamic design also helps saving energy and to reach greater heights with a lesser effort.

Throwweight
I used to throw 60ft with 14oz but now get close to 80-95ft for the big trees i have to climb in va. Really nice when throwing but if you use a big shot or air cannon it might just go over the tree
Nice to manipulate
I like these for throwing but mostly I like these for manipulating in the tree isolating, double-bagging etc. They clunk and bounce around differently than textile bags and for that I like to have a set available.
Be careful
These things are a danger to anything even remotely breakable. Very effective for throwing or shooting but will damage anything they hit on the way down. Rope wont usually pass through the triangular ring either so that sucks
Noticeable retrieval ease but missing some features
First trip out and I like the FTC meteor a lot. Throws nicely- I hand throw two hand cradle style. It noticeably pulls through easier. I almost tried to get it stuck but it smoothly came threw foliage and twigs and bark. One star off though because you can’t get your rope through the ring easily so you must remove the weight and tie your rope on the line instead of knot blocking onto the throw balls’ ring. It also lacks a lower attachment point. So it lacks a couple of options Still like it though

This thing is a rocket. Whether by hand or with a big shot the FTC Meteor feels more accurate, even if it is all in my head. I'll take it!
Very nice
Its only been a few days, but i think i will be switching over to these. I love how the FTC Meteor bounces off the tree better. I love how the tie in point is stiffer and the whole ball doesnt curve around branches. This you can definitely avoid some of the situations that lead to a stuck throwball. Hopefully the durability is as good as it seems

Meteor throwballs are way more accurate that throw bags. I switched over to the meteors, and my big shot is way more qccurate
