The Clauss 5.5 inch Kevlar Shear’s blade is Titanium Bonded. This makes the blade 3x harder than stainless steel so the blade stays sharper, longer. The micro-serrated blades are designed for cutting high modulus fibers like Dyneema, Technora, and aramid fibers.

The Clauss 5.5" Titanium Kevlar Shear are very sharp shears, when I cut ropes with these they usually fray less and have less mess.
Better than regular scissors
When I first started splicing I used regular scissors, it got the job done, but these Clauss shears make very nice cuts and less effort. Definitely makes splicing a bit nicer and relaxing to do.
