Teufelberger antiSHOCK Chainsaw Lanyard without Hardware
The antiSHOCK Tool Lanyard from Teufelberger is a lanyard for various tools such as chainsaws needed in tree care. What makes this lanyard for tools so special is how it absorbs forces. In the event that more than 220 – 240 daN act on the lanyard – for example, if your saw gets stuck in a branch you are trying to cut off – the tear webbing will be activated. This reduces the force that acts on the harness, the fall protection system, and the anchor point of the climber to 150 - 180 daN. Thus, the antiSHOCK Tool Lanyard helps prevent injuries.
The webbing is torn open until the impact force has been absorbed. If the saw does not come unstuck again, for example, the webbing will tear open completely after 70 cm, and the tool will drop to the ground. Due to a special pretreatment of the yarns, the elastic webbing is exceptionally abrasion resistant.

Best on the Market
I've had two of these now, and I feel that there's just no reason to not have a breakaway lanyard. I've had a few close calls with a saw getting stuck in the kerf of a piece that nearly didn't come free...I'll never use a non-breaking lanyard again. These antishock lanyards from Teufelberger happen to have all the stretch and reach one could need in the tree as well, so no complaints. The pouch that holds the breakaway system CAN start to come apart, but it can easily be replaced with a ziptie around the breakaway bundle without inhibiting the function.
Does the job
The Teufelberger antishock lanyard does the job and looks amazing
It went ragged on me
3 months after use the little sack started ripping at the seems. I ended up taping it with electric tape...then completely replacing it.
