With the Arbortec Breatheflex Pro everything comes down to the weight and performance of the pants. With high tenacity polymer, we can ensure these pants will keep you well protected and still allow you the flexibility you need to manoeuvre around the job site and canopy of a tree with ease.

The pants feature an incredibly resilient and abrasion-resistant panel on the front and ankle of the pants. The material is woven with Kevlar fibers and makes it extremely tough when getting bashed and scraped on trees and debris every day.

The crotch is made with Kevlar to eliminate ripping and incredibly stretchy fabric that allows for the ultimate amount of movement and flexibility in the tree.

Design Meaning:

  • Design A: Provides frontal protection with coverage extending 5 cm to the back. Suitable for professional loggers engaged in standard forest harvesting, who are well-trained and follow strict safety protocols.
  • Design A Plus: Enhances the standard Design A by adding calf protection to the back half of the leg, offering 180° protection.
  • Design C: Offers full leg protection, ensuring comprehensive safety for more demanding forestry and arborist tasks.

Where applicable, design A leg protectors intended for users of left-handed chainsaws additionally include the 50 mm-wide strips, as specified and shown on the rear right-hand side of each leg. This design supports the use of left-handed chainsaws.

This is a special Arbortec type which comprises of design A protection PLUS: rear leg protection from ankle to knee.

Class Meaning:

  • Class 1 - Protection against chainsaw speeds up to 20 m/s
  • Class 2 - Protection against chainsaw speeds up to 24 m/s
  • Class 3 - Protection against chainsaw speeds up to 28 m/s

UL Rating Meaning:

Chainsaw trousers sold in North America must comply with UL certification standards-ASTM F1897-20 for the United States and ASTM F3325-20 for Canada. These define the level and placement of leg protection, with variations between the two countries.


In the USA, UL-certified trousers provide frontal protection with partial side coverage and are available in two design options. In Canada, the standard includes four design classes, offering broader and more specific protection.
