Worst construction.
The Arbortec Kayo Chainsaw boots are amazing except for the tongue. There is NO WAY to tie the boot up and make it look like the picture all day. I wore these for about a year and just got used to it because they weren’t cheap but my goodness was I not happy with them. The HAIX chainsaw boot is 1000x better.
Great for the South
I expected this to be heavy but it was really not that bad. They would be better in more southern climates because of the temperatures but in New England, it gets cold. They Arbortec Kayo Chainsaw Boots are comfortable.
Well thought out, not perfect
These are great boots… my first pair with chainsaw protection. That being said, I’ll start with the positives. 1. The Arbortec Kayo boots aren’t super heavy, obviously heavier than Arbpros, but nowhere near as heavy as I expected. 2. Super comfortable right out of the box. 3. Very hard wearing sole. I’ve worn these every day for 4 months, and you can barely see any wear. Now for the not so positive. 1. The tongue is out of control bulky. The icing doesn’t go as high as the tongue, so as the day goes on the tongue lays forward. It’s not detrimental to the function of the boot, just annoying in my opinion. 2. They are steel toe, so toes get cold easier in the winter. Again, doesn’t have anything to do with function, just be aware. Overall, a great boot. Very well made, and worth the money in my opinion.
