Arbsession FLIPsaver - Adjustable
A simple friction saver is a must have for any tree climber. This simple device has seen very little tweaks of improverment over the years until now. Introducing the Arbsession FLIPsaver. To ensure that the retrieval process goes as smooth as possible the Arbsession Splicing Team added some bar stitching to the large ring side to help flip the large ring out of the branch union. Less frustration is always best!

good concept poor execution
I got one of these as a lower-cost alternative to a thimble-saver. I liked how the ring was spliced on, not sewn, which makes for smoother retrievals. But the rings used are far too large for standard climbing rope diameters. The large ring is constantly getting stuck in normal crotches that are not tight at all. The small ring is so large, an overhand will pass through (a figure eight works though). It will be relegated to spar-only use. ***Arbsession's Response*** Thank you for your feedback, Colin! Our idea was to have a large ring so you can choke through the entire hitch cord if needed. Also the large ring allows a good sized overhand to pass through. The stitched throat idea was so the larger ring would be better flipped over. Depending on type of trees you climb and what branch unions are selected it could definitely make sense to use smaller rings. We can always make this device with custom ring sizes by request.
