Adaptable
A great solution for a spike-mounted ascender. I like that it is fairly universal if I upgrade my spikes and want to switch it over at some point. Only note is that it is a little bulky, and it shifted on me slightly before I found the right position and torque to keep it in place.
Works great
I run this on a set of steel Kleins. It works great, had to torque the bolts pretty good so it wouldn’t move up the shank under load. I was a little concerned about the rope path along the spike with the ascender situated above. I’m sure it’s possible to spike your line while ascending but I have yet to do so after 3 years of use.
