Functions as hoped
Quick connect works very well, I swap this ascender from this harness as a backup in my primary kit and my spikes. 3 years in service and I have yet to dislodge the ascender accidentally from the tree. Wider plate against your boot may be a little more uncomfortable than a standard ascender.
Worth the money
It flows very well and definitely like the options of putting it on my spurs and removing it when not in use.
