Distel DMM Pads Plus CLICK Climbing Spurs
The comfort guarantee now in a new design. The Aluminium Plus climbing spur offers maximum comfort with its DMM forged, forward offset and angled aluminium shaft. A climbing spur that is unrivaled in terms of ergonomics, safety and stability.
Made in Germany
- Pole gaffs are 43mm long (about 1-3/4 inches)
- Medium gaffs are 57mm long (about 2-1/4 inches)
- Tree gaffs are 70mm long (about 2-3/4 inches)
Developed for all arborists who value maximum comfort, lightness and quality. The shaft from the renowned DMM forge impresses with its ergonomic design on all levels:
- Maximum comfort: the forward offset and angled aluminium shaft offers an optimized ergonomic fit. Combined with the ultra-wide 1.77" (45 mm) footbridge, the load is distributed evenly under the midfoot, making even longer standing times possible.
- Extremely light: The aluminium shaft minimizes weight and enables hours of work without fatigue.
- Durable: Premium anodizing from DMM protects the aluminium from corrosion even under the toughest conditions
- Well protected: The Vibram® rubber sole on the underside of the shaft protects the aluminum and ensures a firm grip on branches.
- Sustainably produced: State-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, short and preferably regional supply chains, fair working conditions in a German production facility and a high-quality, durable product ensure the smallest possible ecological footprint.
Pads Plus
- Additional padding for the shin and calf is provided with a foam plate that is 50% larger than its predecessor. The Pads Plus encloses almost the entire leg.
- An optimal fit in the shell and ultimately on the user’s leg is achieved by a grid structure of the pad.
- The grid structure leads to a punctual pressure distribution, which gives the user an increased subjective feeling of comfort.
- 0.8" (20 mm) thick foam cushions every pressure point and impact.
Gaffs with black Teflon (PTFE) coating
- High-quality steel precision casting from southern Germany.
- Special heat treatment that creates a structure with an excellent compromise between hardness and toughness.
- Rockwell C hardness (HRC): 50
- PTFE is widely known as Teflon, a highly developed plastic that drastically reduces friction and breakaway torques, e.g. in aluminum sockets. Easier release of the gaff from the wood saves force and stress.
- Pre-sharpened, extremely sharp gaffs are ready for immediate use.
Lower and upper Click-Buckles-Straps
Cobra® click buckles from AustriAlpin on the lower and upper straps allow the climbers to be put on and taken off quickly. In combination with VELCRO® brand Velcro® fasteners, the result is a firm, play-free fit. Once adjusted and off you go.
