Pads Plus

Buy Once, Cry Once
I haven't used every set of top tier spurs on the market, but they're all pretty similar in terms of geometry. As such differentiation comes down to comfort and weight. These certainly offer top tier weight savings, and it's more noticeable than you might expect (making your feet 1lb lighter makes a much bigger difference than saving 1lb elsewhere when climbing for big removals). So far so good with the velcro straps. It's nice to be able to get them every bit as snug as I want. Like with any set of spurs, I wish someone would figure out a slick gaff guard system that could just be engaged/disengaged without removing it from the shaft. You can sort of do this by sliding the velcro guard straps up the shaft, but they run the risk of getting in the way while climbing if they slip.
