DMM Ultra O Durolock Carabiner
The DMM Ultra O Durolock carabiner features is an ultra-light, clean nose oval carabiner. Not only do they give high strength to weight ratios and feel great in the hand, they also help to keep components of a system aligned. The deep symmetrical basket allows pulleys, webbing, ropes and even other carabiners to 'centre' naturally and still allow easy stacking of components on either side. A connecting classic.
- The Durolock has a special auto-locking gate requiring four distinct operations to open. Force must be maintained throughout or the gate returns to safe (locked).

Stays shut
Bought this when I had a biner rub against a limb and open up on me in a tree. This one doesn't do that.
Love the redundancy
I like to use these when I knot block or on a basal anchor. Basically any time I have a life support carabiner that I will not be with during my climb. This gives me the peace of mind that it cannot be accidentally opened by rubbing against something.
Primary tie in
I’ve had two different triple lock carabiners open on me in the past while aloft from rubbing against the tree. Never a comforting observation. I decided I’d try the DMM Ultra O Durolock and it’s worth the extra $10 for assurance. It takes a minute to get use to opening the gate but still able to function with one hand.
Sure safe locking
The DMM Ultra O Durolock carabiner gives you extra security if ever worried about coming open. Definitely took some getting use to but once you get it down its like any other carabiner
Get one
I use these for my double rope system and my rope runner they are great and offer a piece of mind you can’t pay for. May take a little while to get use to it. But take it home and just play with it and it will be no big deal.only negative thing I don’t like it that when oriented upside down it rub on my prusik cord but I always pay attention to it.
