Edelrid Foot Cruiser Foot Ascender
Using a foot ascender is a particularly efficient and low-fatigue method of climbing single ropes. However, conventional foot ascenders can accidentally disengage from the rope if it is unfavorably positioned. The Edelrid Foot Cruiser foot ascender incorporates a rope clamp that prevents accidental disengagement from the climbing rope. The locking mechanism is easily operated with the other foot and can even be removed if necessary, making it quick and easy to disengage from the system in an emergency.
Thanks to the low spring tension, the ascender runs extremely smoothly, making climbing easier and preventing premature fatigue. At the same time, a robust, stainless steel cam provides optimum bite, even on icy or muddy ropes. The adjustable foot strap ensures secure fixation of the foot and has an abrasion protector to prevent premature wear.

Great foot ascender
Paired with knee cruiser and you have the smoothest rope walking system Ive ever climbed on
Having an issue with the strap
100% certain the under the foot strap is properly routed but it slips itself out of the plate after being loaded and unloaded a few times. Very frustrating it would be a perfect device if this wasn't happening.
Great so far
I've been using this Edelrid Foot Cruiser for about a week. It's a little bulkier than the CT ascender. I love the rope guard, it's quick to fold out of the way when you don't need it. Otherwise it's a smooth ascent from start to finish.
