Edelrid Swift Protect Pro Dry 8.9mm Tether/Lineman Belt
Not ANSI rated - With sewn eye ABS is 4000lb when pulled straight.
The Swift Protect Pro Dry is the first dynamic single rope with built-in cut resistance. This means high-strength aramid fibers are integrated into the rope sheath during the braiding process. This increases the cut resistance of the rope many times over. This makes the Swift Protect Pro Dry the ideal lead climbing rope in rough terrain or when an additional safety reserve is required.
Details
At EDELRID we have tackled the problem and developed a rope that has a particularly high cut resistance. This is made possible by the new "Cut Resistance" rope technology. This means high-strength aramid fibers are integrated into the rope sheath during the braiding process. Compared to polyamide, aramid has a significantly higher cut resistance.
The crux: aramid is a particularly static material. Compared to polyamide, it has virtually no dynamic properties. However, in the event of a fall, it is necessary to absorb the resulting energy and thus reduce the impact force to a tolerable level.

Edelrid for the Win
This is great dynamic rope for my application in Saddle Hunting. The abrasion resistance of this rope far exceeds many different static ropes I have tried in the past, plus it is dynamic (Predator, OpLux, Resc Tech). I notice zero stretch in it when being used normally as a tether. Perfect loop size in this premade tether and I love not having the bulk of tying a figure eight on a bight.
