Fred Marvin Bull Pruner Head with Adapter
This sturdy pruner head is no bull!
The Fred Marvin Bull is meant for those bigger bite jobs that seem to slow progress down. This pruner head is built on a double pulley system for even more leverage. The "Bull" pruner is made even beefier with reinforced parts. So don't be cowed by a slightly bigger branch.
This version features a 1-3/4" cut, dual pulley system, quick connect adapter and 15' of 3/8" pruner rope included. The pruner head easily inserts into the female ferrule on a standard extension pole.

Nice Tool to Have
First the cons: Decently often the head will stick closed after a cut, requiring you to lower the head and free manually. The swing of the pulley/arms is fairly big, so making cuts in tighter areas with dense branching can be challenging. Lastly, shortly after I got mine the bottom pulley nut (where the eye bolt attaches to the head) came off, so add some loctite! Pros: Very solidly built, comfortable handle at the end of the rope, very sharp, and double pulleys mean you can take some big cuts. It's a really great tool when you need it and don't want to risk tearing up surrounding branches with a pole saw.
Easy to use
The extra pulley makes this Marvin bull head easier to use than the regular bull head. It's a must have if you do alot of pruner work.
2nd pulley makes a huge difference
Compared to other lopper heads, the Fred Marvin Bull head is great. That second pulley is noticably smoother. Like all loper heads, clean them, oil them, keep them sharp.
To big.
This thing is way to big and needs a lot of space to use. Just use a pole saw or just the head smaller than this.
