Green Teeth Reverse-S Cutting System Kit (Vermeer 502)
Designed for the higher horsepower machines, what sets the Reverse-S® wheel apart from others is the unique placement of the pockets in a reverse-spiral step-out design that creates multiple cutting planes. These planes create a specific cutting pattern that provide a larger overall cutting arc, ensures that the teeth are taking the proper amount of material for each pass, and allows you to maintain a faster sweep speed. The wheel almost appears to be mounted backwards, as compared to other wheel designs.
Details
The unique pocket placement is achieved by using spacers behind the inner pockets, ensuring the teeth mounted in those positions strike the stump first.
In a traditional spiral, 2 or more teeth are engaged in the cut at a time. This bogs the motor down, decreases RPM and increases the chip load per tooth which leads to chattering.
With 120 degrees of separation between each tooth, the Reverse-S® pattern breaks up the traditional spiral by cutting in a 27" arc with only one tooth engaged in the stump at a time.
Each Reverse-S® wheel kit is accompanied by detailed installation instructions designed to assist you throughout the entire installation process.
Reverse-S® kit includes: 30 900 Series® teeth (900-WS2), 24 Angle Pockets (900LP-A), 4 Straight Pockets (900LP-S), 2 Reverse Pockets (900LP-R), 12 3” LoPro® bolts (LP-300), 6 2¾” LoPro® bolts (LP-234), 12 2½” LoPro® bolts for 1” Wheel (LP-212), Mounting Hardware, and 1 Reverse-S® wheel.
