Kask Superplasma HD Climbing Helmet
The Superplasma HD helmet from Kask has been designed for both professional work-at-height and ground application. It is lightweight, comfortable and features 10 air intakes that provide cooling and ventilation. The air intakes on the outer shell are equipped with a protective aluminum grille that prevents entry of debris into the helmet. The helmet's outer shell is made of High-Density ABS Plastic and designed to withstand impact from the above or side.
Important Note: Kask no longer includes the ear muff adapters with the helmet. Please purchase them separately here.
SENA installation: 1 to 3 days to complete and ship.
- Unit will be installed "Mic in Muff". Ear Muff Adapters and 3M muffs are also included (color may vary). See image in description below for an example of a "Mic in Muff" install.
- If you prefer standard mic location, please mention it in your order comments. We do not recommend this way and broken wires are not covered under warranty.

UP & DOWN SYSTEM
A size adjustment system comprised of three components for all-day comfort. A central dial allows easy size adjustments, and side wings ensure a snug fit against the back of the head. The patented Up & Down hinge with helmet stability technology adapts as the wearer moves to deliver a more secure and personalized fit.
DETACHABLE INNER PADDING
Padding designed with hook-and-loop attachment points for seamless removal, replacement, and washing.

Most helmets the packtalk ends up in the back right corner of the helmet, this is due to the length of the microphone wire.

Why waste money on a protos?
This thing is all you'll ever need up there. Lightweight and comfy. I ran the visor for a while but it sits on my nose too much.
Great helmet
I have tried a variety of helmets including pretzel and protos. The Kask Superplasma HD is by far my favorite. If you like to stay as light as possible in the tree this is the helmet for you. It is super light and I don't find myself over heating at all! in the pictures its hard to see but it is super customizable. the only thing I don't like about it is the tightener on the back, they are somewhat fragile so be careful with that and youre good to go!
Great light weight helmet
I wore this Kask Superplasma HD Climbing Helmet for two years before I switched to a Protos. I do miss the weight in comparison to the Protos, but my main issue is I could never get a snug fit on my head and I would have to re tighten the ratchet throughout the day.
Great protection
Kask is my go to helmet, I own 3 superplasmas and not one has had anything break on them in over 3 years of daily use. Comfortable and cool
all around
The Kask Superplasma HD is my favorite rec climb and all around comp helmet, lightweight comfortable and easily adjustable.
I've owned three...
I have kept going back to the Kask for years, for both myself and my employees. I've moved on to the Protos for removal work now, but that doesn't mean the Kask Superplasma has been replaced. It's lighter, cooler in the summer, and will never get sawdust down in the vents thanks to the metal mesh. I also like the tightening mechanism better. Different strokes for different applications...but I still keep mine in my truck every day!
Slick helmet
The Kask Plasma is a great helmet for all aspects of tree work. Whether tree felling or climbing its comfort and light weight design is awesome. I have the 3M muffs, reflective visor and pack talk bolds outfitted on mine and have never had a problem. Im on my second one and will keep in going down the kask helmet path as the Superplasma HD is a great helmet in the southeast heat!
Good helmet for price
Kask makes a great product. Its a great helmet, but it is surpassed by the protos by far. You can add lots of accessories to get the same benefits as the protos but it is not nearly as clean. That said, as a stand alone helmet or a competition helmet, the Kask Superplasma HD helmet is much lighter than the protos. Main durability issue is the tightener connection point in the back of the head. Have seen several snap.
