Notch RC Grapple
The RC Grapple from Notch makes movement in the canopy easy with this collapsible retrievable hook.
Notch partnered with Reg Coates to develop the RC Grapple. This device allows you to get super mobile in the canopy. When attached to the tag end of your main climbing line, you can use the Grapple to get to a new work position while still tied in.
It’s low-profile, collapsible design is easy to store on your harness and will stay out of the way until you need it. The sleek design is aerodynamic to use, fits into tight unions and will easily grab onto a limb. The Grapple is also easy to retrieve when given slack and pulled back in.

Great for tree transferring
Love the grapple. It makes it handy to do tree to tree transfers. Side note it takes time to learn how to throw it effectively.
One of my favorite pieces of climbing gear
I use this grapple quite a bit while climbing. Reg Coates has a really good video showing the tips and tricks to using this. It definitely takes practice, but there's tons of places a regular captains hook would get hung up that this thing glides right past.

Much better than a Captain Hook. The Notch RC Grapple is easy to hook to end of a long lanyard and makes traversing wide canopies much more efficient!
