Gate’s Garbage
Might as well not have a gate at all, I loved my shembiner so I thought this would be just as good, but the gate, despite being able to lock, very easily opens and gets branches caught in it. Basically just a bad shembiner.
Great concept, too finicky
I really wanted to enjoy this carrier tool, but I've dropped my saw far too many time to feel comfortable with it. I've found that as I climb, the gate will twist and open up by rubbing against branches, resulting in my chainsaw falling out when in a precarious position. Like others have mentioned, it does have a tendency to get stuck in the lock position when removing the saw from the carrier. I now only use this for my lanyard, water bottle, and whatever other miscellaneous tools I usually stow on my left side. If you are going to use this carrier tool, make sure you have a saw lanyard that connects to your harness.
Works Great
This device works great. Making it intuitive to place the saw back in the carrier as well as remove it. Only gripe I have is the gate has a twist lock that will occasionally get locked open when removing the saw. Making you unlock it to place the saw back into the carrier. Besides that it is a great product.
Best tool carrier around
This has become my go to saw carrier. It’s so simple to us that i’m not getting frustrated in the tree because I can’t get my saw free.
