Great Product
We've ran these ropes of various sizes for two seasons. We've had no issues with twisting. The color fades but the ropes stay strong.
Cost effective
Despite the color fading rather quickly this rope has lasted me a while and I like the knot holding characteristics. It’s not as good as the premium lines but is cost effective and a good rope.
Good Value
Compared to Samson Stable Braid this rope is a bit stiffer and does seem to twist more easily. However the price is so competitive I am willing to overlook the quirks. It is strong, has handled abuse pretty well, and is cheap.
don't get twisted
The Pelican Rope 1/2" - The Ape is a strong rope... we found that the rope hackles (twist) like crazy when run through a portawrap. Tried alternating the direction of wraps and it still didn't help. Constantly having to remove twists from the rope in order to continue rigging. That was our experience.
