Petzl Eashook Open Rope Snap
The Petzl Eashook Open connector is designed for use at the end of a work positioning lanyard. The gated connection point allows for direct attachment of the connector to the lanyard. If the lanyard is damaged, the connector can be reused. It features excellent grip and an automatic locking system.

My preferred lanyard setup is a double action snap with a splice, but I was trying to find a way to avoid needing to buy lanyards with pre-installed snaps. This is the perfect solution. Thanks Petzl!

If you’re making your own lanyards this is great! Easy to install and clips to saddles super nicely
Reusable connector
I like that I can keep the connector when replacing the lanyard. Saves money over time.
High Quality and Pays for Itself
The double snap is smooth and tactile. The ability to switch between lanyards makes this snap pay for itself. Yes the eye is larger than a snap that cannot be opened, but if you want to reuse those other snaps you'll either have to pay someone to splice/sew them back into an eye (I guess you could invest in the tools yourself too), or you'll be using a double fisherman's, which is much more likely to get stuck in a union. I buy presewn lanyards from absession to use with this and can get my favorite ropes in a lanyard configuration with this snap. They also tend to be much more affordable too.

Easy to use and reliable, with the great advantage of being able to take it off an old lanyard with an allen key and put it on the spliced end of a new lanyard.

I still have the one I bought 4 years ago… I’ve come to realize I don’t like how long it is… the ISC snap is much shorter in length and the connection point is MUCH smaller, making for much easier retrieval if you’re using it as a secondary climb system.
Great snap hook
The best thing to get if you order a lanyard with sewn ends from the factory. Its simple to remove from the lanyard and has a smooth double action opening.
The Only Snap Worth Getting
When you constantly are taking your lanyard on and off as you move about the canopy, the smoothness and ease of use of this Petzl Eashook snap is not matched by any other on the market. Only reason to not get it is if for some reason you really like triple action..

This thing is great. The Petzl Eashook is easy to install, and the action is super smooth like pretty much all Petzl gear. Wish they made one with triple action.
