Pfanner Protos Integral Climber Helmet
The Pfanner Protos Integral Climber Helmet is suitable for tree climbing as well as activities on the ground. Head protection for multiple areas of tree crew activity!
This version includes a chin strap just like the Pfanner Protos Arborist Helmet, but is sold without the hearing protectors and mesh visor. This is perfect if you want to install your own SENA muffs or similar.
SENA installation: 1 to 3 days to complete. It will ship as soon as completed.
- Unit will be installed "Mic in Muff". Pfanner muffs also included (color may vary). See image in description below for an example of a "Mic in Muff" install. If you prefer standard mic location, please mention it in your order comments.
Details
The profound neck shell of the Protos® Integral prevents slipping, even when working overhead. The Protos® Integral Climber is equipped with the CrashAbsorber. This consists to 95 % of air, offers 5-times shock absorption and leaves the air circulation in the Protos® unaffected. Version also available as ANSI Z89.1.
The incomparable wear comfort and the enhanced safety also make the Protos® Integral Climber perfect for use on the ground. The Protos® Integral Climber is equipped with a chin strap and the CrashAbsorber. With this equipment it also fulfils the standard EN 12492 and is thus perfectly suited as head protection for climbing. The Protos® can be equipped with original accessories at any time.
For hygiene reasons, we recommend washing the main support pads regularly and replacing them every 2 to 3 years in case of daily use.

Comfortable and very adjustable
Before this Pfanner Protos helmet my favorite helmet was the Petzl Vertex Vent. This is basically as comfortable and adjustable for me, but with some added protection. Also, thanks to the guys at Arbsession for doing a good install with a headset for me in the earmuffs!
Great
For a long time I wore mask hard hats, but my biggest complaint was the ear muffs! With the Pfanner Protos the muffs tuck back out of the way not going to get snagged by tree branches on or off of your ears. The integrated glasses are pretty neat too. Not to mention how stupid comfortable these are. Hands down best all around hard hat.
Very comfortable, very slick.
Got a set of these Pfanner Protos helmets with the SMH-10s units installed in the muffs, and they work great! Got them all paired up (after a bit of fiddling, learning the dance) and used them for their first crane job. Oh, the joy of not having to be constantly yelling over the chipper or crane! I knew comms were great, but man! It's a total game changer. I'm not a huge fan of earmuffs, but these are about as good as you can ask for. 10/10, would buy again.
