The classic Red Head falling wedge from K & H. These wedges have been a logging tradition for decades because they are made of very hard plastic, and have a textured finish to keep them from popping back during hard driving.
K & H Distributing was started in 1962 to satisfy the need of the timber faller to have a durable, non-sparking light weight falling wedge. Red Head felling wedges are created with high pressure plastic injection and the perfect polymer.

The thickness on the 10" Triple taper is 35MM (1 3/8")
The 5.5" wedge has a max thickness of 3/4" and the 7.5" has a max thickness of 1".

I keep 2 10” regular and 2 10” triple taper in my wedge pouch and they definitely live up to their reputation. I’ve pummeled the heck out of these Red Head Felling Wedges and they still work like a charm with no deformities.
Durability is Amazing
I have been using these wedges since I started my business! They seem to take the most abuse and only need to be retired if you end up cutting into them with the chainsaw! Super durable and last forever. The Red Head wedges seem to keep their form even if you are using a smaller striking head to drive them!

K&H wedges are my pick for best around. All wedges get beat up over time but these seem to take the beating the longest.
Best Wedges on the Market
Since forever, Redhead wedges have been the best, and with good reason. SO MANY other brands have tendencies to deform when hit repeatedly (like they're supposed to be) but it seems to take a lot more to do the same to a Redhead. They also stack well, holding together while you're getting them set into the kerf as a pair. After using these, I'll never buy a Stihl wedge again.
