The Omni-Block combines a swivel and pulley into one tool, and incorporates a unique sideplate that opens while the pulley is still attached to the anchor. Traditionally, a pulley is connected to a swivel by a carabiner. However, the Omni eliminates the need for the carabiner, reducing length and pieces of equipment in the rigging system. The short length of the Omni is important when used in high-angle, confined space or other space-sensitive rigging environments. The reduced weight of the Omni will make hauling your gear easier. Additionally the Omni sideplate can be opened without detaching from the carabiner. Traditional pulleys require removing from the carabiner to change the rope. With the Omni, the user is able to do this while the pulley is still secured.

Love this block
I got it for small pruning while climbing. I have also used it for an SRT redirect. I have it on an ultra sling.
Midline attachable
Great piece of kit. Most of my rigging systems are block and pulley based for consistent predictable friction, etc. I value the versatility of midline attachable pieces of kit for a changeable system as I work through puzzles. I have a 1.1 omni block on an 1/2” ultra sling.
LOVE IT
For starters, this is one of the smoothest smaller pulleys you'll find being offered to our industry. The swivel gives it a wide range of applications. Though the Omni 'Block' series of pulleys from Rock Exotica suggests a Rigging application, I'd argue that this particular model finds a better home as a climber's tool, be it as a primary anchor point on an MRS system or as a Bridge connection on your harness, the 2-stage opening system brings it in line with the standards our carabiners are held to for safety in locking, and the 1/2" sheave puts it squarely in climber's territory. Fantastic tool.
