Gotta have it
Never leave the ground without it! From lowering yourself on a spar tag line after a removal, to getting yourself out of the tree in a pinch. The Rock Exotica RescueEight is old school all the way.
Old school
Definitely old technique for descending or tying off, but I never leave the ground without a Rock Exotica RescueEight in my ditty bag just in case I ever need it to get me out of a pinch
So many uses!
The figure 8 is great for descending, locking off a butt tied branch for extra security, the list goes on. The Rock Exotica RescueEight is an old school favorite!
good for basal anchor
I have used a similar one for a lowerable basal anchor system for SRT.
