Rock Exotica RockD Carabiner with Lanyard Pin
The rockD Lanyard Pin carabiner from Rock Exotica helps prevent gear from moving past the end of the carabiner. When the potential for dangerous leverage or cross-loading can occur, the removable stainless steel pin keeps the carabiner oriented correctly, and the gear where it belongs. Lanyard device attachment
Have this attached to my ART positioner. Had problems before with sideloading standard oval carabiners on it. The D shape and pin keep it oriented perfectly 100% of the time
Great for lanyard
I use one of these Rock Exotica rockD with a Rockgrab 90 on my flipline and it works perfectly. Before I switched, I was having issues with the carabiner's configuration getting out of whack and side loading, but the pin solves that. Super smooth action as expected from Rock Exotica! Also, for a lanyard, I like the direction of their auto lock mechanism (opposite from most others I've used).
Great when your life depends on it!
As an arborist, orientation of the carabiner is always very important and these Rock Exotica RockD beaners are amazingly handy in keeping itself exactly how you want it to be situated on your bridge, loop runner, lanyard… you name it!
