Spikepod Ratcheting Lower Spur Straps
The Spikepod Ratcheting System for your tree climbing spurs is the Darbyshire's latest product to make life easier in the tree. The straps fit onto most makes of spurs using a leather strap handmade in the UK which is attached to a ladder and ratchet. This system replaces your foot straps and allows you to make adjustments while the spikes are on your foot!
Please note: The screws are loose to start for easy install and adjustability. Please tighten screws before use.

Yes the Spikepods will work with the Edelrid Talons. Please note you will need to add a split ring as this isn't included currently.
Not better that leather straps IMO.
I was excited to try these, but I think I might actually prefer leather straps with buckles. The ratchets start to slip at a certain point, so you can't actually get them any tighter, and for people who like to go under the spur or other configurations, you can't do that with these.
incompatibility problem
Didn't work well on my carbon fiber geckos. Going back to velcro lowers. Seemed like high quality, sad they didnt work for me.
Better than velcro
These are so much more ideal than the velcro straps on edelrid spurs. Ratcheting is much easier and pulling a strap tight and you can get it right where you want it 10/10. Definitely get the extra padding too.
