The Haas Velox from Weaver has a patented design with a double tube that gives you 30 inches of in-line bungee in your system. This version features an integrated foot loop for easy installation. This versatile ascent system has zero set up and is extremely reactive because it was designed to maximize friction reduction with a bungee that terminates at the top of the Velox, travels down the channel to the bottom where it wraps around a shiv with stainless steel sealed bearings inside a machined aluminum block.

Well Built
A very well built, well designed knee ascender. I think I would prefer the model with the top of the boot loop instead of the foot loop, but I will need boots with a top of the boot loop first lol. The foot loop can be a big of a pain to put on/take off vs just a clip with the boot model. I haven't had any issues with this ascender in the year I've been climbing on it, though.
Great as is
I was using the Saka for about 2 years and it's been falling apart. I've modified it a few times to keep it going. But Haas system is just everything I wish the Saka was. Should have made the switch earlier.
First Rate Knee Ascender
The Velox improves significantly on the standard HAAS with a longer bungee and a stiff tether which helps the ascender move up with the foot. It does its job very well, and is cleanly built and executed. Unlike its predecessor, you don't have to "dial in" the length of the bungee based on your stride and where you attach it on your harness...it's basically ready to go right out of the box. If you aren't climbing SRT on a foot-knee ascent system, you're working too hard.
