great little bag
wouldnt use from the ground but i keep on back of my saddle for when in the tree, i just have a scrap of throwline in it but im sure it would hold a full hank just fine.
Ditty Bag? Yes. Throwline bag? Maybe
I have/had a forester throwline set from Menards that comes with 166' of line. I bought the small/red bag. I could not fit the whole spool of line in there without getting a tangle. If you're flaking 50'-75' of throwline in the bag it should work without tangling. But I could not get much more then that to work without getting tangled at some point. So now I plan to use the Weaver Throw Line Bag Small as a ditty bag for a water bottle or other odds and ends while at height. My weaver saddle has limited attachment points so we'll see how it works. I chose 3 stars instead of 5 as the bag is well constructed and should work well as the ditty bag, but it will not fit the whole length of forester line and there is nothing specifying the required diameter of the throwline to fit the whole length. For working at height, I prefer the throwline on an auto retracting fly reel like a Shakesphere #1824. A throwcube is a better solution to storing line.
great for use while aloft
This Weaver Throw Line Bag Small Red is awesome for bringing a throwline with you while climbing. It is structured enough to be easy to use, and small enough to be easy to tote around.

We use it for a water bag for our climbers. Can be used for throw line but it's a little small for my big hands. We use the medium bag instead
