Dumb question. That tape will read Diameter of the tree correct. You can laugh at me...haha!

Yes one side does read diameter. That being said from time to time a batch gets mixed up and we are sent ones that don't have a diameter reading on one side. If that happens be sure to contact us and we will make it right.
