I realize that this is designed for 11 mm max rope diameter but I am curious if it will fit a half inch rope through it. The max is usually limited by what you can still belay slack through the device without the cam grabbing. Will a half inch diameter rope physically fit inside of the device? My intentions are only to repel down a rope on it.
We were able to install a 12.7 mm Samson Vortex into this device. This being said it is not recommended to use anything outside of what the device calls for which is a 11mm rope diameter.
