Samson Voyager SamsonDry 11.8mm Climbing Rope
Samson Voyager SD features SamsonDry, an exclusive hydrophobic coating.
Sized at 11.8mm (15/32"), this light and flexible rope will now limit water absorption to <5% keeping your line lighter and safer in wet conditions. In addition, Voyager SD has superior knot-holding ability, works very well with arborists' hardware, and is excellent for footlocking.
Please Note: The cover on most new double braid ropes will stretch during the first few weeks of use. The excess cover should be cut off. For this reason, Arbsession doesn't recommend putting two eyes on a brand new double braid rope.

Voyager SD is a 24 strand rope.
A double braid tight eye hand splice takes up about 1.5 feet of rope. If there is a specific finished length you need for a lanyard please add that to your order comments at checkout. We will be sure to get as close to that length as possible.
Stays Dry and Clean!
The hydrophobic coating makes a huge difference in the winter months. The coating works excellent and keeps ropes handling well in wet and freezing conditions. Makes the rope very slippery when new. Something I love is that the hydrophobic coating makes it not pickup dirt like other ropes when it’s lying in the mud. Unfortunately the water repellent does wear and after about a year or when it starts looking like a pipe cleaner, it will start absorbing water and dirt. You can re coat it with some waterproofing products like Nic-Wax or something but it’s not quite like factory.
