Teufelberger Tachyon Ash 11.5mm Climbing Rope
Thanks to its unparalleled feel and its exceptional performance, Tachyon is ideal for use with the latest mechanical systems. Tachyon is provided with a firm yet flexible construction. It consists of a polyester cover which significantly improves friction hitch performance without “bagginess”. The core consists of a polyamide inner core. This inner core construction keeps the diameter consistent, even in the loaded state. The rope diameter of 11.5 mm is ideal for tree care operations. It ensures a better grip, thus reducing hand fatigue. It works perfectly in combination with standard hardware designed for use with 11 mm ropes.
Please Note: The cover on most new double braid ropes will stretch during the first few weeks of use. The excess cover should be cut off. For this reason, Arbsession doesn't recommend putting two eyes on a brand new double braid rope.

Great lanyard
I use tachyon for my lanyard and I’m very happy with it, 8mm 3 wrap catalyst grabs and releases consistently. And man does it look cool, looks better in person for sure.
My first rope
I bought Teufelberger Tachyon Ash Climbing Rope as my first climbing line as it is good for both srt and mrs. It’s a little bouncy for accents but not obnoxious. I found that this rope picks easy from my ct foot ascender and that’s what ultimately got me to try something different. I used it daily for over a year.
Solid MRS Line
Tachyon is a fantastic moving rope line, though it's starting to be eclipsed by some of Teufelberger's other options. It has a tendency to flatten a little under load, and if you add its noticeable stretch, you'll find it unpleasant for Single Rope work. It's a fantastic lanyard line, and runs beautifully in a Zigzag or through textile hitches.
MRS approved
Teufelberger Tachyon runs smoothly through most mechanical devices and hitches, but a little too dynamic for SRS systems.
Extremely durable
I use Yale Tachyon rope for my lanyard and it is extremely durable. Compared to other popular 24 strand lines I've found it to hold up better and fray less. The color is also distinct and contrasts my solid colored rigging lines, which is helpful, from a safety perspective.
My go too
I love my Teufelberger Tachyon ash rope, it runs amazing with mechanicals and functions excellent with bot SRT and DRT. A little bouncy when trying to rope walk, but you get used to it if your doing rope walking frequently with it. More important it doesn’t milk much at all.
Swiss Knife
Works well in SRT and MRS. Tachyon Ash does have a decent amount of bounce but is a great rope all in all.
